The IQ's compact footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are great features. However, if you want to alter the floor level on the map or set no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it to do this, which can be a bit of trouble.
The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation features but it's missing no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, although it does have a tendency to get caught up in rug tassels. Its iHome speaker lets you control the robot using voice commands.
During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to eliminate lots of debris on floors that were not bare and a good amount of medium-pile rug. The iRobot is, however, is better constructed, has fewer components that need maintenance or replacement, incurs less recurring costs, can create virtual no-go zones with its companion application. Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robotic vacuum that is a top performer on carpet. Its performance on carpets with no floor is also outstanding. It is able to remove rice and other fine particles with ease. The suction power doesn't diminish as the dirt bin gets full. Its design that is allergy-friendly and sealed with air will trap allergens to keep your family healthy.
