Looking For Inspiration? Check Out Best Robot Vacuum And Mop

The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to locate your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the hidden bin and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery floor vacuum robot charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
